Pellet Stove Sales and Installation in Victoria

Efficient, Eco-Friendly Home Heating

Pellet stoves are a popular choice in Victoria, BC, offering clean-burning heat that’s both sustainable and cost-effective. They offer an efficient and eco-friendly way to heat your home. If you’re upgrading your current system or installing a pellet stove for the first time, we provide expert guidance, trusted brands, and professional installation services to keep your house or business warm and comfortable all winter long.

How Do Pellet Stoves Work?

Pellet stoves operate by burning small, compressed wood pellets made from sawdust or other biomass materials. These pellets are loaded into a hopper (a storage container), then automatically fed into a combustion chamber at a controlled rate. An electric igniter starts the fire, and a fan helps circulate warm air into your home while another fan vents exhaust safely outside.

Unlike traditional wood stoves, pellet stoves require minimal tending. Most models feature digital controls or thermostats, allowing you to set desired temperatures and even program heating schedules. Because the pellets burn so efficiently, they produce less ash and fewer emissions, making pellet stoves a cleaner, greener alternative to other heating options.

Why Choose a Pellet Stove for Your Victoria Home?

Pellet stoves are a smart, sustainable heating option that’s perfectly suited to life on Vancouver Island. Designed to burn wood pellets made from compressed sawdust, they produce minimal emissions while delivering consistent, reliable heat. For homeowners in Victoria, this means a cleaner, greener alternative to traditional wood-burning stoves or baseboard heating. Plus, modern pellet stoves offer programmable settings, sleek designs, and efficient fuel use that can help reduce your overall heating bills.

Do Pellet Stoves Need a WETT Inspection?

If you own or are planning to install a pellet stove in your home, a WETT (Wood Energy Technology Transfer) inspection is a smart step, and in many cases, a necessary one. A WETT inspection by a certified technician ensures that your wood-burning or pellet-fueled appliance is installed correctly, operating efficiently, and compliant with all relevant safety standards.

When Should You Get a WETT Inspection?

When buying or selling a home – Many insurance providers and real estate transactions require a current WETT inspection for any wood or pellet stove on the property.
Before using a newly installed stove – To confirm the installation meets Canadian building codes and manufacturer guidelines.
Annually, for ongoing maintenance – Regular inspections help prevent potential hazards and keep your pellet stove running safely and efficiently.
When updating your home insurance – Insurance companies often need documented proof that your appliance meets safety regulations.

Not only does a WETT inspection give you peace of mind, but it can also extend the life of your stove by catching issues early. To protect your home and ensure your pellet stove runs safely, you can schedule an inspection today with one of our certified WETT professionals right here in Victoria. Our experts are ready to help you stay safe and comfortable all year long.

Reviews from FlameTech Customers:

M Moldowan

We purchased a wood insert from Ryan’s company and had him install it. He also did a WETT inspection on another fireplace. We were very happy with the service provided and would highly recommend his company to others.

Victoria Bushnell

We had an excellent experience with Ryan. He got back to me promptly when I first inquired about getting a new wood stove, was thorough in his approach, asked all the right questions, and provided advice about the stove we wanted. He was prompt and efficient in procuring and installing the stove. I wish all tradespeople were like him! We live on one of the Gulf Islands and it was not a problem for him to come out and install the stove. He even took the old one away and provided us with a WETT inspection certificate. I highly recommend him.

Katherine Grant

Great service for the installation of our propane stove and removal of our wood stove. Ryan was the only installer who actually took the time to do a detailed inspection and recommend and guide us thru the process of selecting the right product for our needs. He always was on time, kept the work area neat and tidy. HIs pricing was similar to others but we felt his quote more detailed and no extra surprise costs came up! I would definetley recommend Flametech to our friends.
