About WETT Certification Costs

WETT stands for Wood Energy Technical Training, and the organization that runs the training necessary to complete inspections is a non-profit. Along with providing their professional training, they also aim to make the public aware of how to safely and effectively use their wood-burning systems such as stoves and fireplaces. The work they do is thus very important both for professionals in the field and for the public.

Our WETT-certified technicians who complete these inspections in Victoria have at least 10 years of experience. They truly have the most experience with WETT inspections and training in the city, holding multiple certifications including the chimney sweeping certificate, the technician certificate, and the wood burning systems certificate.

How will we charge you for the WETT inspection?

Costs for this service do vary but start at $150. It depends on what you are getting inspected, whether it is a newer or older wood-burning stove or fireplace, and how this will affect our WETT Inspectors’ work.

An inspection will include a visual inspection of the unit itself and its attached chimney and venting system, so the time that it will take to complete the inspection can be affected by multiple factors. Each inspection will include an inspection report.
